New Beauty Box & A Mini Beauty Haul

I picked up the new LIB beauty box this week and a few other items. Here's what I got...

This is the latest beauty box from LIB, "The Anti-Ageing Beauty Bible" Box. I decided to order this week because you can receive a 20% Off voucher & Free Gift with code MUM20LIB

I'm still in my 20s but anti-ageing products are very important to my skincare regime. But even if that wasn't a concern for you I'd recommend this box anyway as it has some really excellent award winning products and at such a low price.

The Box Contains 10 Products Plus an Extra Free Gift. That's great value for money for £16 (at sale price, full price £19.95). The overall cost is worth more than £90!

In The Box:

01. Temple Spa Skin Truffle Total Face Rejuvenation- 15ml (£24)
02. Elemis Pr-Radiance Cream Cleanser- 30ml (£6)
03. Inika Mineral Lip Liner- Safari 01 (£13.50)
04. Louise Galvin Sacred Locks Mask- 75ml (£10.40)
05.LP Skin Therapy Overnight Replenish Cream- 15ml (£11.70)
06. Lulu's Time Bomb Trouble Shooter Neck, Jaw & Chest Cream- 15ml (£11)
07.Thalgo Thalgomince Cream LC24 -5ml sachet (£3.30)
08. Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate- 2ml via (£6)
09.Caudalie Vinexpert Eye & Lip Serum 1.5ml (£3.60)
10. Balance Me Super Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm -15ml( £4)
*FREE GIFT-  NSPA Jojoba & White Musk Shower Mousse- 150ml ( £3.95)

Total Cost= £97.45

- The product I most wanted to try out was the Templespa Skin Truffle cream. It has an impressive list of ingredients including gold, truffles & diamonds! This is renowned as a miracle cream that totally changes the complexion. I think the whole box is worth getting just for this alone.

-The Thalgo anti-cellulite cream is the only sachet sample in the box. This isn't something that is relevant to my needs but I've heard really great things about this cream. Although I won't be able to test out its effects on cellulite I can see what effects it as at general skin firming.

- Liz Earle Superskin is one of my all time favourite products. No other facial oil compares. Having an extra sample of this is always good.

- I've heard such great things about this Elemis cleanser. I love hot cloth cleansers and am always on the look out for a new one to try.

-The Time Bomb is the only product that I'm not sure I'll keep just because it doesn't have any specifications for my age- its for neck, jaw & chest firming. Not really an issue for any one under 40. If I decide to keep it I might just use it as a decollete cream.

-LP skin overnight cream is packed full of vitamins perfect for skin that looks tired or worn out. Great to use if you haven't enough sleep. This cream is reported to dramatically improve your appearance even just after one use. I'll be using this on nights when I know I won't get much sleep.

- This Caudalie serum is one I've been wanting to try for ages. It's a shame it is so small. I still have a few other tubes from this range to try out so I'll be testing them altogether to see the best results. This serum can be used on both fine lines at the eyes or to plump the lips.

-NSPA shower mousse is the free gift with purchase. This is an ASDA beauty brand. It's not something I'm excited about, white musk is not one of my favourite scents, but shower gel always comes in useful. Plus it was free so I can't really complain.

- Louise Galvin is not a brand I've actually heard of before so it will be interesting to try this mask out. I'm glad I got the hair mask option as I don't have many hair treatments in my collection. Although this is for fine hair which I don't have, the brand specialises in treatments for coloured hair which i do have. Hopefully it will help replenish anything being taken away from my hair by the dye.

- Inika is a brand I keep getting products from in the wrong shades so I've never been able to truly test their stuff out. I actually received this exact same lip liner a few months ago and gave it away as it is brown tone based. After doing some reading though I was not aware that this can actually be used as a base for lipstick to smooth lines and help lipstick cling to the lips. I'm looking forward to trying this out, hopefully it will give my lipstick a smoother appearance.

- Lastly the Balance Me Cleanser. This has to be the only Balance Me product I haven't received as a freebie before. I've heard a lot about this cleansing balm recently and have been intrigued to try it. Personally I wouldn't buy Balance Me products, I think they are over saturated as freebies, so why pay for what you can get for free . Also I think the performance of the ones I've tried as not been good enough to match their price point. However I am looking forward to trying this to see if it meets the hype it gets.

And now on to some other bits I picked up...

Daniel Sandler

. Catwalk Compact in Shade 01
. Perfect Canvas in Shade 04
.Hide It Concealer in Shade 01
.Brow Groomer Brush
.Brow Filler

I combined my discount code for Daniel Sandler with their current sale and picked up theses products at a really low cost. Technically I should have also received a free concealer brush with the order (free with any 2 purchases) but that appeared to be missing so I'll have to email customer services about that. Anyway it was still a really great deal. I chose the catwalk compact after seeing a really good tutorial were his was used. It gets a lot of good reviews for giving amazing coverage. Although I haven't used solid foundation in over 6 years I was willing to give this a try. I think this would be really good for anyone who wants to do makeup whilst they're travelling or out as its easier to work with than liquid foundations. I bought Perfect Canvas a couple of weeks ago and when I realised how good it was tried to buy more but the lightest shades had already gone. I decided to try 04 (my other is 01 and extremely pale) after seeing a swatch of how pale it was. This would probably be fine for my complexion now, but I actually bought it to mix with 01 to darken it up for Summer time/ night time use so I don't look too white. Daniel Sandler foundations are extremely pale in their lightest shaddes so if you are looking for a brand that offers a whiter than white foundation check these out. The concealer was another extremely low cost item I decide to try out whilst it was on sale (around about £2 after discounts). I thought it would be perfect to use with the Daniel Sandler skin tint once I start using that. Plus for a professional make up line £2 is an amazing price for any product. Lastly the brushes. These were not on sale but I did make a saving with my 15% off code. I just wanted some new brushes for brow grooming and these looked pretty good. I doubt there's much difference between brands for brow brushes though.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company

. Fantail Brush
.Concealer Brush

I really like the eyelash curlers I received from this brand so thought I'd give the brushes a whirl whilst I had a 40% off code. They came so quickly and were nicely packaged but they don't appear to be great quality. They look nice enough but feel a bit flimsy so I'm not sure how they'll hold up. The fan brush especially seems quite low quality. I'll test them out and do a full review to see how they perform before I condemn them.

. Evole Daily detox Facial Wash
.Neals Yard Bee Lovely Hand Cream (from Marie Claire)
.Elemis Skin Clear Matifying moisturiser (from Cosmopolitan)
.Perecy & Reed volumising Oil (from Glamour)
.Melvita Naturalift youthful Skin Cream

After using some of the Evole skincare product samples I was so impressed I decided to upgrade myself to full sizes. I chose this face wash and the facial polish to go with my peptide cream I got in my Amarya personalised box.  I really didn't need a new cleanser I have about 7 in use at the moment but wanted to try the full range out together. I tried out the cleansing melt and didn't really like it so chose this detox wash instead. The Melvita moisturiser is one I've tried before and loved. I bought this sample from LIB just to make up my order to get the discount but I would buy this anyway. The other products were magazine freebies. There are a few more variations to get from Elemis and Percy Reed so I might get a few more mags to get the rest.
