Review
Soap & Glory as a brand do some really excellent makeup products but are generally over shadowed by their hugely popular body care range. This is one of my favourite products from their makeup line. It is fab as both a lip and cheek stain. In terms of consistency I do think it looks like joke shop fake blood and is not the most luxurious feeling product, but the thicker consistency actually makes it easier to apply ( as opposed to Benefit's Bentint which is very runny and you have to work quickly with). Colour wise the stain is very pigmented so it is wise to work with a little and build the colour otherwise you will look very rosy cheeked! Over foundation the colour on the cheeks is not as bright so you may need to use a bit more to get that flushed looked. On the lips this lasts quite a long time and is a good alternative to lipstick if you're going out to eat. It is a bit drying so I advise using with a lip balm. It comes in an easy to use squeezy tube and I think it is best to work with your fingers rather than a brush. The downfall of this is that you have to wash your hands quickly as it does stain quickly. It comes in at a low price of £8 which is very good value for money; it lasts along time and compared to Benefit's Benetint it is a two thirds cheaper in price and lasts twice as long. This is the perfect product for anyone who wants a no makeup makeup look, or anyone who wants something that is quick to apply. I always carry a tube of this in my bag for makeup emergencies or for days when I don't want to wear makeup but want some colour. If your travelling and arrive somewhere looking tired and worn out this is a great product to have in your bag to quickly slap a bit of color on your face. Overall an all round great and useful product to have.
