Review

I received this a few months ago in the Latest In Beauty advent calender. I had tried a few other Balance Me products but this was a new product to me. The first thing to note about this product is its striking resemblance to Liz Earle SuperSkin Concentrate. However the similarity stops at the visual point. The formula, consistency and overall effect are nothing compared to Liz Earl's version. If I had never tried the Liz Earl oil I probably would have been more impressed with this one, it is a good facial oil. The roller-ball size makes it really efficient for travelling and application very easy. The consistency is a lot lighter and less fragrant than the Liz Earle oil , which some people may prefer ( I personally prefer the thicker consistency and the strong aromatic scent of Superskin). However for me this oil  does feel a lot greasier on the skin which I disliked. People with dryer skin may not experience this with the formula. After use though skin does feel a lot softer and smoother, and it is a nice product to use when it is cold outside. It definitely improves the moisture level of the skin and really helps with dryness. A nice enough oil to try. It is also a 100% natural which is great.  Personally I would rather spend the extra £5 for the Liz Earle version which I rate a lot higher than this one. I saw better results with the Superskin  concentrate. If you were trying to make a choice between the two I would say go with the Liz Earle oil.

Caudalie Box Set

In the Set:
. Vinosource SOS Quenching Serum- 30ml
.Grape Water- 75ml
.Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet- 10ml

I picked up this great Caudalie Vinosource gift set from Escentual. They are currently having a third off sale on all French pharmacy brands. I wanted the Caudalie SOS serum and noticed that this whole set was the same price as that one product on its own  (SET worked out at about £26).  I've used the serum before and love how hydrated it leaves my skin. I'm so glad I have another one and I'm looking forward to seeing what the other products are like.

Review
This is the second product I've tried from the Ayuuri brand, received through Glossy Box. It is not something that would ordinarily appeal to me, I tend not to use cheap face wash on my skin and this contains a number of ingredients that aren't great. Even so I tried this on and off over a couple of months to give it a fair chance. Although the product advertises itself as a natural it's main ingredient is sodium Laureth Sulfate which is one of the worst ingredients for skin despite being derived from coconut. It is a common emulsifier used in household cleaners as well as a lot of beauty products. There are a number of reports that it has been linked to more serious health conditions too. Disregarding the ingredients list as a cleanser it is terrible. After use it leaves the skin extremely dry, more irritated and I tended to suffer a lot of break outs after use. My skin didn't feel particular clean either. It doesn't fulfill any of the promises it makes as a cleanser. This is not something I'd recommend. The brand is not one I would purchase from in the future.

Amarya Haul

I'm pretty much obsessed with Amarya at the moment. I love this site so much and try to buy as much of my beauty products from them as possible. I love that they only sell organic products so you can be sure that everything you buy from there doesn't contain any thing bad for your skin. Because I'm a subscriber to their beauty box I also get discount codes for the site every month. And whenever you make a purchase you get points that can also be used as money off so even more savings.  But that's not all you also get a free mini beauty sample set with every order over £20 (here) Whatever your order amount the postage is absolutely free. How many websites can offer that much? Here's what I picked up this week:

.Evolve Detox & Protect Shampoo
.Evolve Protein Build Conditioner
.REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask
.Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask

Gift with purchase:
.2x Dr.Hauschka Cleansing Cream
.Dr Hauschka. Rose Body Moisturiser
.Sr Hauschka Firming Mask
.Cowshed Wild Cow Shower Gel
.REN Invisable Pores Detox Mask
.REN Anti-Ageing Cream

I decided to try out the Evolve hair care range after falling in love with their skincare products. I also decide to pick up a full size of my February favourite REN face mask, usually £30 but with my discount code and points this was only £20! Lastly I ordered an Antipodes face mask. This wasn't something i needed but decide to treat myself to after reading so many great reviews. I split my order 3 times so I would receive 3 free sample packs. I chose 2 skin care and 1 bath & body pack, this meant I got a selection of Dr.Hauschka, REN and Cowshed goodies absolutely free!

If your not a member of Amarya I'd advise checking them out and joining the mailing list to get involved in some of these great savings!

The latest box from Latest In Beauty is this collaboration with Estee Lauder, comprising  of  Six of the brands best selling items. Although Estee Lauder is not really a brand I generally consider, I bought this box because I felt it was a really great selection of products for such a good price. There wasn't anything in the box I disliked or am not looking forward to trying. I was especially keen to try the Skintone Illuminator as this is something I wanted to buy but have been unsure about splashing out the big bucks on a full size without trying it. I also really loved the perfume. Although this is not a fragrance I'd probably choose myself  it's a lovely feminine scent, the perfect size for my handbag. Overall a really great box that I'd recommend checking out.

All the beauty boxes seemed to be arriving pretty early this month. Receiving the latest installment from Birch Box today was a surprise, I expected it in another week. It's nice to get the boxes so quickly after you pay but then I have complete withdrawal the rest of the month!
The third box since the relaunch had the usual mix of UK and USA products. My favourite being of course the travel Beauty Blender & Cleanser. I have always wanted to try this but couldn't justify the  £20 plus price tag for a sponge that I may not like. I always hear great things about the coverage they give so am looking forward to trying this. For me the rest of the box was only OK unfortunately. The body lotion is fine but doesn't have the best ingredients so is something I will use but not something I would ever buy. The eyeliner is a good product, unfortunately mine was purple not black. A few years ago I used to use eye makeup like this all the time but now I wouldn't have much use for it. I don't know I may keep it and try it out but I know I should probably re sell it and recoup some money on the box. Next up is the Yu-Be moisturiser. Although this is hardly a luxury product it supposed to be a best seller in Japan. Despite the tiny sample that looks like toothpaste you get on an airplane I am keen to try this sample just for the novelty. It has multi-use properties so can be use on hands, lips, feet everywhere. It seems like a useful product for your handbag and in a good size to carry round. Lastly the lifestyle extra box of chocolates. It has a really sweet heart shaped tin that I love, unfortunately I don't eat chocolate so I will be giving this as a gift for someone else. Overall the whole box wasn't particularly exciting but the presence of the beauty blender made up for the other products.
